Our laureates

Spring 2017 call : the QuEnG and the GreQue board have attributed scholarships to the following candidates:
  • Bharadwaj, Karthik S
    GreQue
During my PhD I will work on the dual of Josephson Effect in Superconducting Josephson junction chains where there are quantum phase slips (QPS), which is the tunnelling of magnetic vortex through the weak link. This can be seen as a qubit source and I will try to understand and control the coherence of QPS and obtain real time read-out.
  • Guerra, Marco
    GreQue
I have a Bachelor's degree in Electronic engineering and a Master's degree in Nanotechnologies for ICTs, both obtained in Italy, at Politecnico of Turin.
  • Heringlake, Philip
    QuEnG and GreQuE
After obtaining the BSc in Physics at the University of Paderborn in Germany I followed the Advanced Matter and Energy Physics Program at the University of Amsterdam where I graduated with a research project about Cathodoluminescence of Resonant Nanostructures at the AMOLF Institute.
  • Kotal, Saptarshi
    QuEnG and GreQuE
After obtaining his Bachelor of Science from Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education (Pondicherry, IN), Saptarshi completed his Master of Science with honours from Université de Bourgogne (Dijon, FR), where he specialised in Photonics and Nanotechnology.
  • Spence, Cameron
    QuEnG and GreQuE
I studied experimental physics at the University of York in the UK, and my specialisation was in the modelling of spin chains within quantum computers.
